Acorn Rentals specialise in providing accident replacement vehicles for people involved in a motor accident that is not their fault.
If an accident is not your fault, you would be within your rights to hire a replacement vehicle and expect the at fault driver to reimburse you for the costs. However if the at fault driver was insured the loss would automatically be covered under the at fault driver’s insurance policy.
There are over 15 million registered motor vehicles in Australia travelling about 220 billion kilometres per year. In the light of these statistics it’s easy to see why there are about 5000 accidents reported each day.
Acorn Rentals provide accident replacement vehicles at no charge to you. We are paid directly by the at fault driver’s insurance company and you will be back on the road right away without a cent to pay, all courtesy of the insurance industry.
We still offer everyday rentals, but these need to be paid for in advance in the normal way.

Acorn Rentals always try to save hire costs for the insurance company, so we try and provide small cars when we can. However, we have a large fleet of vehicles including small, medium and large cars as well as 4WDs, Utes, Vans and People Movers so we can provide like for like vehicles if essential.

If your car is not legally drivable after a car accident caused through no fault of your own you can hire a replacemant vehicle and you can reasonably expect the at fault driver to reimburse you the cost. You can be in a courtesy car while you wait for your own vehicle to be repaired, at no cost to you.
Who will pay for the replacement vehicle?
Acorn Rentals will be paid for the replacement vehicle charges by the insurance company of the driver who caused the accident.
How soon can I get a replacement vehicle?
You can receive a replacement vehicle after Acorn have approved your claim and your vehicle has been admitted to your repair shop, or if your vehicle is not drivable, you may be entitled to a hire vehicle straight away. Usually approval can be given straight away once we are given the required information. However in some cases where liability is in doubt approval may take longer.
